Job Description
This project will consist of building prototype drive unit/batteries. This engineer will help with managing quality process for prototype models. They are working to build 1000 prototype models over the next 6 months.
Drive unit / Battery
• Troubleshooting process improvements
• Overseeing the quality and working to improve the quality
• Responsible over the build quality on a small power electronics pilot line (50 units/week)
Creating and managing a quality control system using tools like excel and jira
• Responsible for incoming quality control for 20 unique components
• Creating and managing a documentation system that captures process parameters and deviations for each unit
• Operating and validation of inspection or metrology equipment as needed such as photography, microscopy, CT scanning, HiPot testing, leak testing and electrical validation of 100%
• Documenting and driving to closure all quality issues with incoming parts on the line in a timely manner.
• Data analysis of 100% inspection data, statistical process controls and batch data
Compensation:
$38/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
• 5 years of experience working as a process engineer
• Proven ability to identify process controls issues, gaps in control plans, quality metrics and new incoming part quality issues
• Experience troubleshooting process improvements
• Experience controlling the quality of a process and improving the quality of the process
• Electronics background soldering, laser welding or circuit boards etc. OR has a metrology background: metallurgical engineering
• Experience working in excel and sharepoint
