Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a PFMEA Manufacturing engineer to join their team in Dearborn, MI. The person in this position will be responsible for:
- Utilizing pre-existing manufacturing experience to populate PFMEAs
- Locating DFMEAs on internal systems and extract severity ratings and failure effects
- Working with FMA experts to correct PFMEA audit discrepancies
- Understanding manufacturing controls to determine if PFMEA detection methods can be improved
- Uploading deviation proof to necessary system (JIRA) and updating PFMEA to standard
- Acquiring supervisor signature on PFMEAs to upload to workbench
Compensation: $40-45/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- 4+ years of experience working as a manufacturing engineer (Internships not included)
- Automotive experience (OEM or suppliers)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Word)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
