Job Description

• Support plant engineers with all facets of project work – from ideation through implementation.
• Utilize manufacturing process knowledge to deliver efficient and optimized processes regarding quality, costs, timing, and footprint.
• Work in a mix of leadership and support roles (project specific) to oversee equipment installation, power on, run capability, and equipment handover to the production teams.
• Initiate bids, evaluate, recap bids for equipment purchase; work with Purchasing to write and place orders.
• Work with OEMs, suppliers, Product, and Plant engineering teams to resolve engineering and program delivery issues.
• Interface with subject matter experts to coordinate project related items such as facilities, safety, ergonomics, material handling & kitting, tooling, and gauging.
• Support Engineering Documentation updates as needed - Process Sheets, PFMEA, DCP, OIS-JSA, Visual Aids, etc.
• Help with Project Management of individual projects, as well as larger groups of projects, to support report-outs to leadership
• Travel should be minimal – possibly some local travel to local vendor sites for meetings and runoff efforts.
Compensation:
$34/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering
• 2+ years of engineering and manufacturing experience
• Strong communication skills along with the ability to work in a cross functional team (needs to be self starter and good personality)
• Previous engineering launch experience, purchasing equipment, running off equipment etc. (highly preferable)
• Strong organization skills with the ability to handle complex projects with multiple objectives
• Familiarity of Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma
