Job Description

The Full Stack Web Developer supports, maintains, and enhances the College’s web applications. This role is responsible for troubleshooting issues, building new features, developing new software solutions, improving business processes, and ensuring software quality. Work includes coding, testing, documentation, and managing web‑related work orders in a multi‑cultural, diverse environment.

Compensation:
$28/hr to $32/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field
• 3 years of application software programming in a web environment
• Strong verbal and written communication; collaborative team player in a multi‑cultural, diverse environment
• Ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient code using software engineering best practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft .NET (C#/VB/ASP.NET) and Visual Studio
• Solid understanding of web fundamentals: HTML, CSS/CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, XML
• Database development with SQL Server/Access; strong SQL skills
• Experience building/consuming Web APIs/RESTful APIs and integrating external data sources (DBs, Web Services, APIs)
• Working knowledge of Windows, IIS, and PowerShell
• Proficiency with version control (e.g., GitHub) and adherence to internal procedures/policies for quality

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with higher education applications and/or supporting multi-cultural students and staff
• Java server-side experience: Servlets, JSP, or Grails
• React and GraphQL proficiency
• Familiarity with Node.js, TaskRunner tools, Knockout, JSON, NuGet
• API testing/debugging tools: Postman, Insomnia, Fiddler (or similar)
• Azure ecosystem: Azure, Azure SQL, Azure AD, and MOSS
• Ellucian stack: Colleague Self-Service, Colleague Web API, Ellucian Experience
• SharePoint development: workflows, object model, web parts; SharePoint Designer, Office 365, Power Automate
• Exposure to Agile methods (Scrum/Kanban/XP/Lean) and mobile apps development
