Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Sitecore ADA Designer to join one of our government customers. This employee will help remediate ADA issues within Sitecore, the content management system, used for one of their government web pages that they support. This position focuses on reviewing, correcting, and optimizing Sitecore based content to ensure compliance with ADA requirements and WCAG 2.1 AA standards. The designer will work closely with agency stakeholders, content authors, and technical teams to improve usability and accessibility across the government web page. Other responsibilities include:
• Review Sitecore pages to identify accessibility issues against WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.
• Remediate ADA findings directly within Sitecore, including restructuring content, adjusting components, updating HTML markup, and improving UI elements.
• Use accessibility testing tools such as JAWS Reader, JAWS Inspect, AInspector, WAVE, and Axe to validate compliance.
• Convert PDFs, Word documents, Excel files, images, and other assets into fully accessible Sitecore pages using Sitecore design and authoring tools.
• Remediate accessibility issues within documents (PDF, Word, Excel) prior to migration into Sitecore.
• Collaborate with agency content owners to ensure proper tagging, hierarchy, link structure, and navigation design.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that updated pages meet ADA and WCAG standards.
• Document remediation steps and best practices for future accessibility improvements.
• Support ongoing accessibility initiatives and participate in review cycles as additional pages and documents are migrated.
• Assist with Sitecore content design tasks, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and adherence to brand and government standards.

$30/hr to $60/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of Sitecore experience both designing and authoring
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines
- Experience with ADA testing tools: Jaws Reader, Jaws Inspect, browser plugins AInspector, Wave, Axe
- Able to remediate issues with ADA documents including, Word, Excel, PDFs, Image and others
- Ability to take PDFs and convert into Sitecore pages
