Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Maintenance & Skilled Trades Supervisor in the Lima, Ohio area. The Facilities Maintenance Team Advisor is a leadership role with responsibility for the effective management of assigned operational/facilities maintenance services and support through a highly skilled crew of craftsmen.

Other Responsibilities Include:
- Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership ability in applying competitive and innovative work practices with skilled craftsmen (i.e. pipefitters, millwrights, electricians, etc.) to function as a highly performing and self-managed team, utilizing sound decision-making methods to ensure proper facility and equipment operation.
- Responsible for assigned work crew work assignments being accomplished in accordance to customer contract specifications, established plant procedures, daily schedule requirements, manpower requirements, and cost requirements to meet Company goals.
- Responsible for the administration/application of the union agreements for assigned direct reports. Develop collaborative working relationships with union leadership to affect positive change, drive continuous improvement and advance department business goals.
- Leads work crews in navigating Company processes to deliver on commitments and problem resolutions.
- Conducts individual, work-team and group briefings on work directives, performance, schedules, safety, and costs. Investigates, develops and implements action plans to address and correct deficiencies of the aforementioned items.
- Represents the Company with vendors/contractors in providing technical requirements for purchased equipment, parts and services.
- A safety advocate, driving operational safety/security improvements through identification/corrective actions for hazardous conditions - hazards elimination, engineering controls, revised work practices/procedures and PPE.
- Performs initial occupational injury/illness incidents investigations/reports for assigned work crews/areas.
- Responsible for the work schedules, training, incident investigation and discipline of assigned work crews.


Compensation:
$25/hr to $30/hr
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

- High School diploma or equivalent required. Journeyman and/or Associate degree in Business or other applicable field of study preferred.
- 2-5 years experience in Supervisory role
- Must be able to obtain unescorted access to the facility through the Department of Army Police vetting process
- Must be able to obtain / maintain a government issued Secret security clearance
- Experience and working knowledge of technical or skilled trades work
- Familiarity with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools is strongly desired.
- Experience leading a unionized workforce is preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours for shift coverage (i. e. overlap and off-shift) and be actively engaged on the manufacturing floor on a regular basis.
- Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel
