Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Controls Engineer to join one of our automotive clients in Flint, MI. The person in this role is going to be responsible for promoting continuous improvement and troubleshooting heavy machinery. They will either be working in a machining- or assembly-based capacity.

Additional Job Responsibilities:
· Configure, program, test and troubleshoot PLC based control systems and associated components
· Electrical troubleshooting and testing of controls systems, control panels, and associated equipment
· Diagnose and correct deficiencies in manufacturing processes and equipment
· Support and actively interact with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality groups

Required Skills & Experience

· 5+ years of experience in controls engineering
· Automotive manufacturing background
· Proficiency programming & troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
· Experience working with automation (specifically Fanuc robotics)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Experience with CNC machinery
· OEM background
