Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager in the Detroit area for a client in the manufacturing industry. This position ensures timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and compliance with quality standards while fostering collaboration across internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with exceptional leadership and communication skills.
As a Project Manager, you will lead projects from planning through completion. Your day will involve analyzing engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM), preparing accurate cost estimates, and negotiating contracts to align with budgetary goals. You’ll coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and field service teams to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery. Expect to supervise on-site installations, enforce safety protocols, and conduct regular site visits for quality control. You’ll monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve issues promptly, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and senior leadership through detailed status reports. Additionally, you’ll champion operational excellence by implementing best practices, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and sustainability standards.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
5+ years of proven experience in project management, estimation, and field services within modular home or construction industries.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and quality control standards.
Prior experience with Takeoffs and cost estimation techniques.
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and navigate specifications and plans.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
PMP, LEED, or other relevant certifications.
Advanced degree in a related field.
Exposure to modular home manufacturing or tract home construction environments.
