Job Description

A leading supplier of automation for manufacturing is looking for an eager Assembly Technician to join their team in Auburn Hills, MI. Assembly Technicians may work on mechanical sub-assemblies, such as turrets, arms, wrists, robot, cable installation, cable, catrac and rail assemblies. Critical skills require assembly of basic mechanical sub-assemblies to precision assemblies. This role is for the paint team. The Paint delivery system starts with sub-assemblies of equipment and includes mounting of hardware and installation of hosing for paint and air systems. Integration of hoses and mechanical assembly are precision tasks that require considerable attention to detail. Position requires some testing of application assemblies.

Required Skills & Experience

1-5 years' in manufacturing mechanical assembly as a Mechanical Repair Technician, Automotive Technician, Pneumatic Technician, Maintenance Technicians, Machine builder or line builder
Experience in manufacturing mechanical assembly and test - assembling small mechanical parts
Experience with fixtures and jig for mechanical assembly.
Experienced and knowledgeable on ISO 9001 requirements (preferred)
NETA Certified or NETA Certified Level 3 (preferred)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Certifications: Basic technical trainings with pneumatic focus

Associate degree or Technical Certificate in an Applied Science, licensed/journeyman, or equivalent experience.
