Job Description

The Database Administrator, a member of the Development Team, coordinates and synthesizes information from multiple sources, ensuring best practices in gift processing and data management.

Responsibilities Include:

Serve as Raisers Edge Database Administrator and work with Donor Services Team Lead to ensure accurate and timely processing of gifts, pledges, pledge reminders, payments, and receipts.
Manage the use of the Raisers Edge database to ensure the integrity of all database functions for Provincial Development Offices, maintaining users and security settings.
Serve as the point person for Blackbaud and JP Morgan Chase Lockbox.
Ensure the database provides required information for planning and is used to full capacity
Develop reports and queries to analyze program and campaign results, financial reports, donor profiles and other queries as needed, maintain data integrity and accuracy, and handle all global changes, imports, and other global database functions.
Serve as the liaison with the Finance Office for monthly reconciliation and audits.
Monitor and report on monthly revenue.
Assist in the annual department budget process.
Develop and document database policies and procedures, recommending table structures, coding, and business rules that capture information for donor analysis and action.
Train new and existing staff members to ensure correct procedures are followed for Raisers Edge data entry.
Work with database consultant and direct mail firm to generate mailing lists for direct mail and acknowledgment programs, special events, data analysis and kill files.
Ensure accurate record transfer among different database systems (Raisers Edge Enterprise and NXT, Luminate, Volunteer Hub, SQL, etc.). .

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in database administration

Proficiency in Raisers Edge Enterprise and NXT

Ability to ensure accurate record transfer among different database systems (Raisers Edge Enterprise NXT, Luminate, Volunteer Hub, SQL, etc.)

Comfortable complying with Province and ministry policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards (this is a Catholic Non-Profit Organization)

Effective problem solving, project management, communication, and interpersonal skills

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Previous experience in a non-profit work environment

Blackbaud bCRE certification
