Job Description

We are looking for a candidate at an AEC company. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Serve as the engineering leader through all stages of a project of any size and plays a progressive role supporting management of the department
Lead and perform analysis, design and documentation of heating, ventilating and HVAC systems and controls
Lead and perform analysis, design and documentation of plumbing and fire protection systems and controls.
Assist in establishing project goals, budgets and schedules, track project performance, and follow/enforce quality control procedures
Meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors and others to address mechanical discipline issues and to develop effective working relationships
Present engineering design solutions to client rep and or design review committees
Serve as mechanical systems specialist, conduct research in problem areas of considerable scope/complexity and devises solutions
Contribute to project sustainable design inititatives by using a variety of software to perform energy, heating and cooling load and computational fluid dynamic calculations
Mentor Junior level staff

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, architectural engineering or equivalent
Must be a PE
8+ years exp of working as mechanical engineer designing HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, sustainable design and automatic control systems, including exp performing energy models
Knowledge and demonstration of Revit and Microsoft officeAutoCAD nice to have
Understands different disciplines as it relates to buildings like structural, electrical, etc
