Insight Global is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join a cutting edge team with one of the leading manufacturers of lithium-ion batteries in Michigan. At a high level this group is responsible for developing battery management systems that are leveraged in EVs. This includes the hardware design, software development, and validation of code specific to ISO 26262 standards. The Software Engineer will be working with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and develop design documentation for implementation. This role also works closely with the hardware and validation teams to ensure the software is optimized for the hardware layout and that it follows the current safety regulations. After development the Engineer will lead the troubleshooting of software issues for both development and production software releases.

- 7+ years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer within the Automotive Industry
- Experience developing software from scratch for Battery Management Systems leveraging the following technologies:
o MATLAB
o C / C++
o ASPICE
- Experience developing a functional safety certified applications with ISO 26262
- Strong ability to support O&M tasks including: troubleshooting, debugging, and performing validation tests
- Bachelors Degree in related field
