Insight Global is searching for a Sr. Actuarial Analyst to join a large auto-finance company headquartered in Detroit, MI. This is a fully remote opportunity. The ideal resource will be expected to independently lead new projects from start to finish as well as implement enhancements to current analyses. This will include brainstorming, accurately executing advanced analytics, and effectively communicating results to Management and Senior Leadership. This candidate will be responsible for training, mentoring, and developing entry level actuarial analysts, overseeing project responsibilities as well as performance management. This role will have high visibility to leadership with the opportunity for further advancement. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership skills, communication, and a strong technical aptitude. It is expected that the resource comes in with programming and automation skills preferably using R. There is a preference to resources located in Detroit, Schaumburg, or Charlotte that are able to work a hybrid schedule. This resource will be responsible for leading, developing, and communicating advanced analytics to management and senior leadership, and therefore needs to be comfortable with presenting analytics to leadership. They additionally, will be held responsible for assisting management with Actuarial Due Diligence when assessing diversification opportunities. Finally, this resource will be held to gaining technical expertise surrounding Ally Dealership Insurance products and data warehouses.
Required Skills & Experience
* 4+ years of experience in actuarial roles
* Casualty Actuarial Society Exam(s) completed
* Experience with commercial lines insurance pricing
* Experience assessing risk regarding insuring auto vendors
* Programming skills (R, or Python) for automation
* Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, economics, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or related field
* Critical thinking skills, with strong attention to detail
* Strong communication and relationship building skills.

* CAS Exam #5 - Basis Techniques for Estimating Claim Liabilities
* Exposure to advanced ratemaking or reserving
* ACAS or near ACAS preferred.
