Job Description

IG is seeking a subject matter expert that will lead state-of-the art materials development and

evaluation through modeling and simulation along with software development, delivering innovative

materials and manufacturing solutions for our customers and collaboratively within our ecosystem. This

individual will drive innovations in material simulation through collaborative software development to

automate and accelerate modeling across multiple domains, including manufacturing processes,

microstructure evolution, and crystal plasticity

Required Skills & Experience

Would you be willing to follow up with the candidate and ask the following?:

* Can the candidate elaborate on the casting and spray coolant optimization process modeling? What were the goals of the simulations?

* In their process modeling experience, did they consider or model the microstructure evolution as a function of the manufacturing process? If so, what microstructure features were considered/modeled?

* Do they have experience modeling other manufacturing processes (outside of casting and spray coolant processes)? If so, what technologies and what software types was used (e.g., FEA, CFD, etc.)?

* Do they have experience receiving other simulation data from upstream models and integrating them into manufacturing process models? If so, do they have an example or two?

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with Fortran

Previous metals simulation experience
