Insight Global is looking for an OTA Quality and Triage Engineer to join the team at one of our automotive clients. This candidate would be responsible for determining the root cause analysis for connectivity related issues with their electric vehicle line. They will be leading the initial triage for OTA related issues for vehicles that are already in the field. They will work on a bench or the actual vehicle to replicate the issue and try to determine what went wrong. Once this is determined they reach out to that engineering or software development team to resolve the problem. They must be able to read CAN logs and have an interest in resolving highly visible issues.
Experience working as an engineer, software developer or quality engineer
3+ years of experience triaging with CAN and Cloud logs for connected vehicles
3+ years of working with connected vehicle related issues in these spaces:
-connected vehicle cloud based systems
-smart phone apps
-wireless devices and network
-Telematics
-Bluetooth and Wi-fi connectivity
-in vehicle infotainment
Understand and apply failure mode avoidance methods including linkage such as Quality History, Interface Analysis, DFMEA, and Design Verification Plan
Experience with querying and utilizing large datasets to prove/disprove theories/investigations
Experience working in a client facing or executive facing role
Extensive experience working with Electric vehicles
