We are seeking a Senior Hadoop Developer to remotely support a large automotive client on their commercial services data team. This role will involve the design, implementation, testing and launch of new applications for loading dealership data and generating analytical insights. The position requires a strong foundation in Hadoop, SQL, and Python programming. The Hadoop Developer work closely with IT team members and Business Owners to understand various business processes and apply this knowledge to design and implement solutions. The team is currently migrating client applications from a mainframe platform to Hadoop.
· Strong background developing on Hadoop platform
· Experience with Big Data technologies: Hive, PySpark, etc.
· RDBMS experience: SQL Database
· Python programming experience
Proficient with all things surrounding Big Data development, specifically Hadoop best practices
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
