Job Description

A large Automotive company is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join their IT Manufacturing IIoT Quality & Traceability team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of a new and complex quality application that will be used across the company's manufacturing plants nationwide. This team will be responsible for building a streaming application in Spring Boot and for creating pipelines. The application will give manufacturing plants the ability to stream data live in real-time to generate various reports allowing them to make more sound quality decisions.



Specific Responsibilities Include:

· Define, Design, Develop, and Deploy applications/services and proof-of-concepts

· Collaborate with the Product Manager & Product Designer to ensure quality and on-time delivery of products using agile and test driven development principles.

· Develop software code for sprint user stories

· Engineer production-quality code to deploy these solutions in a serverless, microservices architecture

· Review and support product defect analysis efforts.

· Participate in integrated testing.

· Development will be 80% frontend and 20% backend

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

· 4+ years of software development experience

Experience developing from scratch

· Strong development experience using Angular on the frontend

· Experience with object oriented programming

· Experience with Test Driven Development and Agile Methodologies

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Experience with Spring Cloud Stream

· Experience with Spring Cloud Data Flow

· Experience developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure

· Experience with microservices development

· Experience with Spring Boot framework

· Experience with MongoDB, SQL Server, or Postgres databases
