An employer in the life sciences industry is looking for an Automation Operations Lead to oversee and drive all automation-related operations and incident management across their environment. This individual will be responsible for owning the full lifecycle of automation incidents, ensuring SLA adherence, and leading a team of automation operations resources to deliver consistent, high-quality support. This role sits at the center of operations, acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, automation teams, and engineering, ensuring that automation processes are stable, efficient, and continuously improving. This role is highly fast-paced and requires someone who can operate in real time, especially during critical business periods such as monthly and quarterly close cycles, where automation reliability is essential. On a typical day, the Automation Operations Lead will spend a significant portion of their time reviewing incoming incidents, assessing priority levels, and ensuring tickets are properly triaged and assigned across a team of offshore automation resources. They will actively monitor automation runs, failures, and SLA metrics, while stepping in to guide the team through complex or high-impact issues. Another portion of their time will be spent engaging with business stakeholders to understand process impacts, communicate status updates, and escalate recurring failures that require deeper investigation. The remaining time will be dedicated to partnering with development teams and automation engineers to drive root cause analysis, implement long-term fixes, and improve overall system stability. This individual will oversee an automation ecosystem heavily built on UiPath, with additional exposure to tools such as Power Automate and cloud platforms like AWS. They will be responsible for managing automation processes end-to-end, ensuring proper handoff to production, and maintaining ongoing monitoring and performance oversight. In situations where automations are failing repeatedly, this person will be expected to ask the right questions, challenge the root cause, and push toward permanent solutions rather than temporary fixes. They will also ensure that all work is tracked through proper ticketing channels, that incidents are documented and resolved in alignment with SLAs, and that reporting is clear and actionable for both technical and non-technical audiences. This role requires strong leadership and accountability, as the Automation Operations Lead will be responsible for driving performance across a team that focuses on execution but relies on this individual for direction, prioritization, and structure. Success in this role will be defined by the ability to stabilize automation environments, reduce incident volume over time, enforce operational rigor, and effectively communicate across technical teams and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate is someone who brings a strong foundation in automation (particularly UiPath), combined with hands-on experience in operations and incident management within enterprise environments.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience in automation engineering, automation operations, or related fields
• Strong experience in automation operations and incident management
• Deep expertise with UiPath and experience with enterprise automation platforms
• Experience with Power Automate and familiarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS)
• Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize workload, and manage high-volume ticket environments
Experience managing SLAs, ticket queues, and incident resolution processes
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Working knowledge of Python and/or AI/ML concepts
