Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a Global Network Services team supporting a large, enterprise environment across corporate, retail, cloud, and data center networks. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on network security, scalability, and performance.
This individual will be responsible for implementing enterprise-wide network solutions, upgrades, and enhancements, including firewall management, segmentation strategies, trust zone development, and handling third-party connectivity. They will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements and application workflows into effective network solutions while ensuring seamless execution and operational handoff.

Compensation: $70–90/hr (based on experience)

Required Skills & Experience
• 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience within large, multi-national environments (10K+ users, multi-country) with at least 4 years in a lead network design / architecture role
• Strong experience designing, building, and supporting LAN, MAN, WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, Internet, VPN, WiFi, DNS/DHCP, and data center network environments
• Deep hands-on experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and advanced routing design
• Strong knowledge of VXLAN fabric networks and modern data center design (on-prem + cloud environments)
• Extensive experience implementing MPLS, MP-BGP, L3VPNs and VRFs, including carrier and enterprise environments
• Any combination of at least two: STEM degree, CCIE/CCNP/CCDP, security certifications, or cloud certifications
• Advanced Layer 2/3 expertise including Spanning Tree, VLANs, segmentation, VRF, PE/CE architectures, and QoS
• Strong hands-on experience with Aruba Wireless, Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancing, Cisco routing/switching, Meraki SD-WAN, and TCP/IP
• Proven experience implementing network security solutions, including firewalls, segmentation, trust zones, and 3rd-party connectivity
• Ability to analyze network traffic at the packet level and troubleshoot complex issues across enterprise environments
• Experience supporting voice/video networks (SIP, SBC, AV protocols, QoS)
• Background supporting large-scale global network operations (Tier 2/3 escalation support, RCA, integration activities)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with cloud security platforms (Prisma, Zscaler) and SASE architectures
• Exposure to network automation (Python, Ansible, Terraform)
• Experience with Network Access Control (NAC) solutions
• Experience working within regulated environments (PCI, HIPAA, GDPR)
• Experience designing networks in warehouse or manufacturing environments
