Job Description

We are seeking a senior-level Acquisition Program Management SME to support Air Force programs. This individual will lead and support acquisition planning, reporting, and program execution efforts, ensuring alignment with DoD policies and cost/schedule/performance objectives.
Responsibilities:

Support program managers with acquisition planning, execution, and reporting
Analyze program performance (cost, schedule, risk) and recommend solutions
Develop and deliver briefings, reports, and acquisition documentation for senior leadership
Support major reviews (PMRs, SAR, IMP/IMS, etc.) and data calls across multiple programs
Coordinate across PEO, Air Staff, and DoD stakeholders
Consolidate and synthesize inputs into clear, decision-ready products
Establish and improve internal processes for reporting and documentation
Mentor junior personnel and lead cross-functional efforts

Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of DoD experience in acquisition/program management
Deep knowledge of DoDI 5000.02 / Adaptive Acquisition Framework
Experience with acquisition reporting (DAES, MAR, SAR, etc.)
Experience supporting PEO, Air Force HQ, or DoD-level organizations
Strong experience with program reviews, schedules (IMP/IMS), and briefings
Ability to analyze cost, schedule, and performance and recommend solutions
Strong communication skills (written + briefing senior leadership)
Active Secret Clearance (or higher)
Bachelor’s degree + ~20 years OR Master’s + ~15 years experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience at Air Force HQ (SAF/AQ) or PEO Staff
Experience with GAO audits
Background in both program management AND financial management
Experience leading teams and managing junior staff
Experience building processes for reporting/data calls
Familiarity with Air Force Security Classification Guides
