Job Description

The Assistant Maintenance Manager supports maintenance operations, within one of the world’s largest distribution center networks. This role partners closely with technicians, site leadership, and clients to ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance, and continuous operational improvement.
The AMM plays a hands-on leadership role by prioritizing work orders, leading shift handoffs and briefings, conducting facility inspections, and supporting preventive and corrective maintenance programs. High performers gain strong visibility and clear advancement paths into Senior Maintenance Manager and regional leadership roles.
This is an on call 24/7 based role aligned with technician schedules and supports a highly automated, fast-paced distribution environment.

Compensation: $110k per year and 10% bonus. Benefit packages for this role include:

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience
- 3+ years in a maintenance leadership role managing teams and maintenance programs
- Experience overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs
- Strong ability to prioritize, assign, and manage work orders based on technician skill sets
- Proven safety leadership with experience enforcing safety protocols, audits, and compliance standards
- Experience managing maintenance operations in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution center environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules and participate in on‑call or off‑shift support as needed

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience supporting large-scale distribution centers or automated facilities
- Hands-on exposure to conveyor systems, robotics, or automated material handling equipment
- Strong data and systems orientation, with experience analyzing maintenance KPIs and metrics
- Experience mentoring technicians, leading training initiatives, or supporting technician development
- Background working in 24/7 or high-volume operational environments
