Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join a prestigious global law firm client. This firm generates over $3 billion in revenue and caters to clients in key hubs of business, finance, technology, and government. The analyst will partner closely with data engineers, BI architects, developers, and business stakeholders to improve data quality, enable self service analytics, and support enterprise reporting and data governance initiatives.

Daily Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with data owners and stewards to define key data elements, quality standards, and governance practices
• Analyze data and present insights in clear, accessible formats for business stakeholders
• Develop reports and dashboards to support operational and strategic decision making
• Interpret data trends and patterns to provide actionable business insights
• Drive continuous data quality improvements by identifying issues and implementing sustainable mitigation plans
• Develop and publish data quality dashboards to increase transparency and stakeholder confidence
• Maintain system documentation, core data models, data lineage, report inventory, and data dictionary
• Support stakeholder inquiries, perform stewardship tasks, and conduct QA testing for enhancements and small projects

This is a full-time position, hybrid 3 days a week, in Boston.

Compensation:
$115,000-$130,000 per year annual salary.
This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on performance.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, geographic location, education, and consideration of internal equity.

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 3 years of data governance experience, preferably within legal services or financial services industry
• Proficiency with Excel, strong SQL skills (writing SQL queries), and experience utilizing Tableau, PowerBI, or MicroStrategy
• Excellent analytical skills and understanding of relational databases and data management practices
• Exceptional business analysis, problem-solving, and relationship management skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• MicroStrategy experience
• Exposure to data privacy laws
