Job Description
Design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot AF‑compliant network solutions supporting 66 ABG/SC Core Services
Support and maintain a converged Gigabit Ethernet enterprise network (classified and unclassified)
Perform network design, integration, upgrades, and daily operations (routers, switches, IPAM, NMS, Remedy tickets)
Provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier 3 escalation, including coordination with vendors and SMEs
Support voice and data network services in fast‑paced, mission‑critical environments
Ensure networks meet DoD, AF, and DISA compliance requirements
Participate in lifecycle planning, capacity planning, performance optimization, and security hardening
Interface with vendors for hardware/software upgrades, warranty claims, and technology refreshes
Research complex issues and develop effective technical solutions
Provide 24/7 emergency and operational support as required by contract

Required Skills & Experience
8+ years Network Engineer / Team Lead experience (degree or equivalent experience)
DoD 8570 IAT II – Security+ (current)
Hands‑on expertise with Cisco/Juniper routers & switches
Strong experience with OSPF, VRF, VLAN, QoS, STP, 802.1X, ACLs, IPsec, stacking
Advanced Layer 2/3 troubleshooting, including VoIP
Experience supporting large, highly available networks (5,000+ users)
Tools: DHCP, Cisco ISE, Orion NPM/NCM, Wireshark
Network operations escalation, upgrades, AAA, SNMPv3, Syslog
Strong documentation, DoD compliance, and Visio network diagrams
Strong communication, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills
Flexible hours; able to lift 50+ lbs
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
CCNA or CCNP
Windows/Linux administration experience
Taclanes, voice platforms
Windows Server 2012/2016, IIS
Structured cabling knowledge (fiber, CAT5e/6)
