The client is undergoing a large-scale AWS modernization effort, transitioning from hundreds of distributed AWS deployments into a centralized, managed cloud environment. Engineers will work within small, fast-moving pods and play a critical role in containerization, infrastructure automation, and platform standardization.

- Lead containerization efforts, migrating services into Kubernetes (EKS) using standardized frameworks and multiple namespaces
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to support repeatable, controlled deployments
- Support the transformation of distributed AWS environments into a centralized, managed platform
- Migrate and support databases as part of platform modernization
- Enable and support messaging and event-driven architectures using Kafka and internal messaging frameworks (e.g., Genesis)
- Partner closely with application engineers supporting Java / Spring Boot–based services
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows to support increased release velocity
- Collaborate with lead engineers across 4–5 delivery teams to meet aggressive transformation timelines
