Accounting Project Manager

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support a pharmaceutical client within the Project Management & Strategic Operations (PMSO) team. This contractor will lead execution of a Legal Entity & Governance Optimization (LEGO) program. This role will manage project governance, reporting, cross functional alignment, and delivery across IT and business teams.
The PM will work closely with IT partners in Data, Technology & Engineering, as well as stakeholders across Accounting, Tax, and Treasury, ensuring workstreams are accurately tracked, risks/issues are managed, and outcomes are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive project governance, scope, schedule, resource planning, and dependency management
• Manage technical project components including integrations, reporting, data migration, and system configuration
• Lead risk/issue identification, mitigation planning, and cross functional communication
• Support change management, stakeholder engagement, and business adoption
• Deliver clear, timely, and accurate project status reporting
• Partner with external consulting teams to ensure aligned execution and reporting

• Experience with PPM tools, backlog prioritization, and project financials (CapEx/OpEx)


Payrate - $95-100/hr

• 8+ years of project management experience
• Proven success leading large, complex IT projects
• Experience working with Accounting teams and Intercompany Accounting processes
• Strong leadership presence with accountability and escalation discipline
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong presentation skills
• Experience with PPM tools, backlog prioritization, and project financials (CapEx/OpEx)

• Experience within high growth biotech or pharma environments
• Agile certification (CSM, PSM, etc.)
• PMP certification
• Experience with Intercompany Accounting or Treasury tools (e.g., Blackline, Oracle EBS, Kyriba)
