Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a UX Content Designer sitting fully remote (EST preferred) for a leading insurance company. This 12‑month contract role, with the opportunity to convert permanent. In this role, you will support large‑scale digital modernization initiatives, specifically focused on transforming sales tools and digital experiences used by insurance agents and call‑center representatives.
This role partners closely with product designers, product owners, engineering teams, and additional UX contributors to craft clear, effective content that improves usability, supports complex workflows, and drives business outcomes. Experience writing micro‑copy, designing user flows, and improving information architecture in complex, enterprise‑level applications is essential.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
With guidance from a Lead UX Designer and Senior Content Strategist, and in close partnership with a UX Product Designer, this person will:
Support agile delivery squads creating new tools and workflows for insurance sales professionals
Write micro‑copy, UI text, labels, error messages, onboarding flows, and in‑app guidance
Create and refine information architecture, user flows, and structural content patterns
Help design content solutions for new applications and features launching as part of a company‑wide modernization initiative
Participate in design critiques, planning sessions, retros, and collaborative workshop activities
Partner daily with product owners, product designers, engineers, marketing, analysts, and researchers
Incorporate user research and feedback to iterate and optimize content
Ensure consistency with brand tone, voice, and digital content standards
Work across multiple workstreams within a complex product ecosystem

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field or equivalent professional experience
3–5 years of content design, UX writing, or related experience
Strong portfolio demonstrating digital content solutions, problem‑solving, creativity, and business impact
Experience supporting multiple agile engineering teams (Scrum preferred)
Ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into simple, usable content
Experience with content design and strategy methods such as:
Content audits
Competitive assessments
User research and personas
Quantitative/qualitative analysis
Design thinking exercises
Proven ability to design content for internal‑facing or enterprise applications
Strong attention to detail and comfort giving and receiving feedback
Experience with Figma or similar design tools
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plus
Industry background in insurance, financial services, or healthcare strongly
Compensation: $55-63/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
