Job Description

A client in the defense industry is looking to add a Senior Optical Systems Engineer to their team on site in Wilmington, Massachusetts. This person will have Chief Systems Engineer responsibilities, be customer facing, handling the technical authority of the program, overseeing the team and the program execution, while also being hands on. They need a strong background within space, physics, optics, mechanical and electrical. They require an active TS/SCI security clearance and will be supporting a variety of different programs within this team.

9-12 years of overall systems engineering
5 years of Optical Space experience- hands on
Developing, designing, integrating a space payload
Customer facing experience
Technical Authority
Space Vehicle Systems (ex: IMU’s, space hardware, optical telescope assemblies)
Bachelor’s Degree

Space Vehicle experience
Physics Degree
Master’s/PHD
