Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a facilities maintenance technician for one of their leading semiconductor clients at their Edinburgh site. They will be responsible for delivering comprehensive support and solutions for internal customer requests at the site in Edinburgh, UK. Additional work may occur at other locations, including:
u Booth setup for local job fairs
u External facilities
u Large meetings held in nearby hotels
u Collaborate effectively with internal teams (customers, IT, security, facilities) and external stakeholders (landlords, contractors).
u Oversee site contractors to ensure maintenance and repair of equipment under service agreements.
u Recommend cost-effective solutions aligned with company management’s identified needs.
u Specific Tasks
u Coordinate and communicate across departments for project planning and issue resolution.
u Demonstrate working knowledge of:
u Architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems
u Universal waste (batteries, lamps, e-waste) and fire safety protocols
u Liaise with contractors and city inspectors as required.
u Monitor and maintain critical systems including CDA, HVAC, and UPS.
u Perform routine maintenance:
u Weekly flushing of low-use taps
u Monthly water temperature checks
u Monthly emergency light testing
u Handle general maintenance tasks such as:
u Handyman duties
u Plumbing repairs
u Furniture assembly and adjustments
u Prepare scopes of work, schedules, and cost estimates.
u Compile Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation including drawings and scopes.
u Manage bidding process: solicit bids, conduct job walks, evaluate proposals.
u Submit proposals to the Facilities Coordinator.
u Conduct punch list reviews, site audits, and ensure project completion.
u Provide weekly activity reports to Facilities.
u Perform additional duties as assigned.

Pay ranges from 25 - 32/USD hr based on qualifications and years of experience.

Required Skills & Experience

u Associate degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
u Strong command of English (spoken, written, and comprehension).
u Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.
u Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Smartsheets.
u Commitment to quality and safety.
