Job Description

Insight Global is searching for an Operations Manager to support a medical device client in Norwood, MA.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

-Lead and motivate manufacturing teams across two facilities, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
-Partner with planning, production supervisors, and engineering to manage daily production activities.
-Implement and maintain process controls and quality standards to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
-Drive strategies to scale manufacturing operations for future growth.
-Conduct resource planning and proactively identify gaps.
-Coach, mentor, and onboard new hires; ensure cross-training and development plans for all staff.
-Establish and lead Lean manufacturing initiatives, including daily standups and Gemba walks.
-Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
-Collaborate with senior leadership and HR on hiring needs and training programs.
-Ensure compliance with Quality and EHS requirements, policies, and procedures.
-Set departmental goals, track metrics, and manage budgets.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation:
$120,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year annual salary.

Required Skills & Experience

-5+ years of people management experience, preferably in manufacturing or medical device industry.
-Strong knowledge of GMPs & ISO 13485 system requirements and equipment qualification tools (IQ, OQ, PQ).
-Proven ability to manage complex situations, drive continuous improvement, and lead change.
-Practical knowledge of Lean Principles and Six Sigma methodology.
-Exceptional communication skills with ability to flex style and respond with empathy.
-Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
-Financial and business acumen with experience managing budgets.
-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business (advanced degree such as MS Engineering or MBA is a plus).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Lean and Six Sigma certifications.
-Experience in the medical device industry.
-Advanced degree (MS Engineering or MBA).
-Demonstrated success in scaling operations for growth.
