Job Description
A small pharma client of ours is seeking a Cost Accountant to join on a contract basis. He/she will be focusing on the financial tracking and analysis of inventory and manufacturing activities related to our RNA technology programs. It's a great opportunity to dive into some fascinating work!
His/her main responsibilities will include detailed account reconciliations, helping with product costing analysis, and working cross-functionally to ensure our financial reporting and cost control are spot-on. We need someone who can maintain the integrity of our inventory accounting and support the costing process for our RNA and gene therapy products, all while ensuring we stay compliant with internal controls and accounting standards.
He/she will be handling monthly account reconciliations for inventory-related accounts, digging into discrepancies between physical inventory and system records, and preparing journal entries for inventory transactions and adjustments. Plus, ensuring accurate recording of inventory transactions in Oracle OPM Financials, participate in the annual standard cost update process, maintain inventory reserves, prepare monthly and quarterly inventory reports, and assist in audit support and quarterly commitment disclosures.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing finance.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and cost accounting principles in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems.
• Proficient in Excel and financial modeling.
