A growing biopharma company is seeking a Power BI Engineer to join their data team. The team includes developers, analysts, and engineers, and this role reports directly to the Senior Director of Data Engineering.
The role is divided as follows:
50% Power BI development
30% Dashboard creation
20% Data modeling
You will work closely with business users, analysts, and data engineers to gather requirements, define KPIs, and deliver impactful data visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports
Create data models using Power BI Desktop, DAX, and Power Query
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define KPIs
Manage data connections and transformations, and optimize performance
Implement row-level security and ensure adherence to data governance standards
Schedule and publish reports to Power BI Service and manage workspaces
Troubleshoot data issues and provide support to end-users
Maintain documentation for dashboards and data processes
Compensation:
$50/hour to $60/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Minimum 5 years of Power BI development experience
Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL
Experience with relational databases and data modeling
Familiarity with Azure data services (e.g., Synapse, Data Lake)
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
Solid understanding of data governance, performance tuning, and visualization best practices
