Job Description

A leading cancer research institution is seeking an Administrative Specialist to work on a hybrid model at its Boston, MA campus, supporting its patient operations within the Thoracic Oncology organization. This specialist provides essential support to clinicians, researchers, and faculty by managing scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation. This role is responsible for coordinating complex calendars and organizing meetings for individuals and teams, while also serving as a key point of contact for both internal and external communications, including interactions with patients, collaborators, and vendors. The specialist prepares detailed reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and letters of recommendation, and handles financial tasks such as processing expense reports, managing vendor payments, and ordering office supplies. Additionally, the role may involve assisting with patient coordination by scheduling appointments and acting as a liaison between patients and clinical staff. The Administrative Specialist also oversees general office operations, including mail distribution, supply management, maintenance requests, and ensuring an organized and efficient work environment. Compensation:
$24/hr to $30/hr

Required Skills & Experience

- 2+ years of experience in a customer service or administrative role in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Working knowledge of computers and technology like Microsoft Office and EPIC
- Bachelors Degree
