Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Design Engineer for our Consulting Client based in Massachusetts. This role can be local/onsite in Massachusetts or fully remote. The Design Engineer will collaborate with internal and external clients in developing top-tier instrumentation and controls documentation. This role involves creating standards with design software, supporting technical drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit, and ensuring alignment with sequence of operations and controls narratives.

Responsibilities:

-Develop internal and external standards using design software.
-Create departmental processes.
-Provide technical drawing and model support with AutoCAD and Revit.
-Review and align designs with sequence of operations and controls narratives.
-Draft specifications for control systems.
-Perform design calculations.
-Drawings preparation
-Control system design for retrofits and green field
-Equipment selection
-Attending project meetings and interface with clients and vendors
-Quality control
-Maintain up to date processes and standards

Expectations:
-Adhere to quality design standards.
-Support rapid creation of work products.
-Manage internal and external responsibilities to meet collaboratively set goals.

Travel Requirements:
-Domestic and international travel may be required, averaging less than 10%.

Compensation:
$35/hr to $45/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree in engineering field
-Minimum of 2 years' experience with AutoCAD (preferably AutoCAD electrical) in an instrumentation and controls position
-1+ year working with Revit supporting Engineers
-Knowledgeable in building IT/OT infrastructure and various low voltage technologies such as security systems, lighting control systems, and fire alarm systems.
-Familiar with smart building technology convergence and integration of low-voltage subsystems for IT and parallel OT network infrastructure design.
-Effective team player, comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
-Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
-Preferably active in industry organizations.
