We are seeking a Business Analyst in the Research Technology group to accelerate our adoption of a new global ELN ecosystem (Dotmatics), the Luma lab connect instrument data capture system (IDC), and global sample management capabilities. The candidate should be familiar with the scientific needs and workflows associated with small molecule development as well as being well versed in Dotmatics electronic notebook template development. The successful candidate will be able to readily translate scientific needs into actionable epics, stories, and requirements for our Agile scrum Dotmatics ELN development teams.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Work with relevant Pharmaceutical Sciences lab scientists to map their lab workflows and translate them to user stories for ELN, development backlogs.
Collaborate with Dotmatics implementation team, lab scientists, testing, IDC and ontology teams to write necessary user stories and requirements for Dotmatics ELN implementation:
User story refinement for current ELN build and build feedback
User story refinement to include acceptance criteria for current and previously stories to enable test script writing activities
Collaborate with testing and project leads to translate user stories in order to develop appropriate test scripts
Requirements gathering and writing of new user stories for IDC, integrations, and data handling and processing automation
Requirements Gathering for continuous improvement and/or deferred use cases from initial ELN release for this business area
Respond in a timely manner to user requests and feedback
Investigate and clearly translate these requests into actionable stories for developers and other program workstreams.
Ensure template builds are aligned with project managers and product owners.
Clearly communicate and liaison between our scientific stakeholders and developers to refine and groom tasks
Understand scope and requirements and escalate to leadership when scientific or technical asks will shift timelines or expand scope.
Compensation:
$70/hour to $90/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

5+ years of business analytics experience in the Life Sciences industry
Pharma development experience (working with analytical development and small molecules)
Experience working with ontology and instrument data capture groups
Biology or chemistry or science background (working with scientists would suffice)
Proven experience developing productive partnerships with business stakeholders, software engineers, and vendors (familiarity with Dotmatics ELN is preferred)
1+ years of dotmatics experience (more recent the better)
Compensation:
$70/hour to $80/hour
