A mid-size Biotechnology company based in Boston, MA is seeking a Business Systems Analyst in the Research Technology group to accelerate our adoption of a new global ELN ecosystem (Dotmatics) which encompasses instrument data capture and global sample management capabilities. The candidate should be familiar with the scientific needs and workflows associated with small molecule research and development as well as being well versed in electronic notebook template development. The successful candidate will be able to readily translate scientific needs into actionable epics, stories, and requirements for our Agile scrum ELN development teams.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Become a trusted partner of chemists, pharmaceutical scientists, product owners, and developers (both internal and external)
* Respond in a timely manner to user requests and feedback
* Investigate and clearly translate these requests into actionable stories for developers
* Ensure template builds are aligned with project managers and product owners
* Clearly communicate and liaison between our scientific stakeholders and developers to refine and groom tasks
* Identify areas where our ELN and related technologies may offer new ways of accomplishing scientific tasks (the art of what is possible
* Understand scope and requirements and escalate to leadership when scientific or technical asks will shift timelines or expand scope.

5+ years of business analytics experience in the Life Sciences industry
Strong and recent experience working within an AGILE Environment
Proven experience creating use stories
Biology or chemistry or science background (working with scientists would suffice)
Proven experience developing productive partnerships with business stakeholders, software engineers, and vendors (familiarity with Dotmatics ELN is preferred)
ELN implementation experience (preferred Dotmatics and Benchling)
