Job Description

We are looking for an Operations Manager to lead production/manufacturing for a Medical Device Contract Manufacturing client in Norwood, MA . As an integral part of the leadership team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient manufacturing processes, maintaining quality standards, and driving operational excellence managing a team of 3 supervisors with oversight of all manufacturing staff.

Responsibilities:

* Team Leadership: Manage and mentor production teams, including supervisors, technicians, and operators. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

* Value Stream Management: Optimize production workflows, from raw material procurement to finished product delivery. Identify bottlenecks, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency.

* Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ISO 13485 requirements. Implement quality control measures and drive continuous improvement.

* Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet production targets. Monitor production schedules, capacity, and resource utilization.

* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, quality, and R&D) to align production goals and resolve any operational challenges.

* Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.

* Safety and Compliance: Promote a safety-first culture. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

* Budget Management: Collaborate with finance and senior management to develop and manage production budgets.

* Continuous Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, process optimization, and waste reduction.

- Experience Managing Manufacturing/Production teams

- Experience Driving Continuous Improvement Efforts and leading change

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Lean/Kaizen Continuous Improvement

- Experience promoting and growing direct reports

- Injection Molding and/or polymer experience
