A midsize pharmaceutical company is seeking a Technical Systems Analyst in the Research Technology group to operationalize the preclinical sciences application portfolio. This individual will take ownership of the applications used by the toxicology, DMPK, and Pathology teams and migrate them from legacy stand-alone instances into central managed or SaaS model deployments. He/she will perform tier 1 and tier 2 activities and build roadmaps for further application deployment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Working knowledge of Watson, Biorails, and/or Dotmatics portfolio for DMPK applications. -- Ideally Watson (thermo fisher)
* Become a trusted partner of Toxicology, histopathology, DMPK, product owners, and developers (both internal and external)
* Work with relevant Pre clinical lab scientists to map their lab workflows and translate them to user stories for development backlogs.
* Tier 1 or Tier 2 support
* Adding new users / permission access
* Investigate scientific systems (Watson, Biorails, and/or Dotmatics) and clearly translate these requests into actionable stories for developers. Important to understand the science to know the system is not behaving correctly.
* Ensure template builds are aligned with project managers and product owners.
* Clearly communicate and liaison between our scientific stakeholders and developers to refine and groom tasks
* Background in biotech/ pharmaceutical industry, specifically with drug discovery and development process
* Professional experience as a systems engineer or systems analyst (Tier 1 and Tier 2 support)
* Watson Thermo Fisher experience (troubleshooting the application, working directly with the vendor)
* Experience with these systems: Leadscope and Lhasa computational toxicology systems.
* Working knowledge of Leica and Indica digital slide storage platforms
