An international law firm spanning across the US/Europe/Asia is looking for a Intranet Services Manager / Microsoft Collaboration Lead to join their Knowledge Management group within IT. The firm is in the Top 50 largest law firms in the world; they focus on corporate, litigation, intellectual property, fund formation, public markets, employment, life sciences (#1 law firm for tech and life sciences IPOs), clean technology, real estate, financial services, retail, regulatory and energy practices. This role will be hybrid remote, and candidate must live near one of their offices in: NYC, San Francisco CA, Palo Alto CA, Chicago IL, DC, Reston VA, Los Angeles CA, Santa Monica CA, San Diego CA, Denver CO, Boston MA, Seattle WA.
The Lead/Manager will manage processes and technology employed to deliver intranet services (Microsoft ecosystem includes, O365, Sharepoint Online, Power Apps, Power Automate, One Drive, erc) to the firm, lead and manage a team of Intranet Support Specialists. They will also ensure that the firm's intranet meets the needs of the business, is best-in-class, and is adequately supported by in-house and outsourced content and technical teams. The candidate must be hands-on technically within the MS Suite of products to be able to give technical direction to more junior team members. In addition to technical hands-on skills, the manager will interact with internal IT teams as well as other departments on strategic projects affecting their intranet services.
Position responsibilities:
Serve as the platform owner for SharePoint, One Note, and Power Automate. This includes establishing roadmaps, administering, and maintaining the platforms, managing security, and resolving issues
Use, maintain, and support third-party applications such as Aderant Handshake, Infodash, and Matomo that are used to extend and support the SharePoint platform
Provide expertise and support to technical and business managers and determine how to best to develop, implement, and support SharePoint sites configurations, information architecture, and solutions to meet business needs
Create technical documentation for new solutions and procedures and leads change management across the firm with respect to supported platforms
Continually strive to improve the efficiency and usability of our Microsoft solutions, leveraging ongoing research on emerging development tools and strategies and understanding of the firm's business needs
Management of direct report(s) from performance management, career development, hiring/firing, and other day-to-day supervision
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in intranet platforms and solutions, specifically Microsoft collaboration ecosystems: SharePoint, Power Apps and One note, including the management of related project and product lifecycles
- Leadership experience to more junior staff from a technical perspective or in a managerial capacity
- Experience building SharePoint applications including web parts, workflows, and third-party interfaces
- Advanced knowledge of SharePoint security including permissions and access management
- Ability to create and debug automated workflows using Power Automate
- Ability to create and debug Power Apps solutions
- Thorough understanding of SharePoint architecture, information architecture, content management, O365 Azure AD
- Project management experience
- Ability to work evening or weekend hours as needed, as well as travel as needed
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Delve and Stream
- Working knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS
- Prior large law firm or large management consulting firm experience strongly preferred
- Supervisory experience
