Job Description

Insight Global's client is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the vision that one day all parents will have the resources they need to unlock their families' potential and become champions for babies and their community. This position is a 3 month contract with the potential to extend or convert permanently. This person will work 30 hours a week and get to make their own schedule between 9-5 M-F with the ability to visit with clients onsite at one of their facilities in Dorchester or the South End in Boston (preferred) or remotely.



Through their unique program, parents and caregivers partner with program staff to develop strategies to support their child's development, select the material items that their child needs, and connect with community resources that can expand their support network. Program staff work alongside parents and caregivers as they build upon their existing skill sets and parenting styles and promote the well-being of their children and family. Families join the program during pregnancy and continue until their

child's third birthday, attending visits with their Social Worker/Clinician every 3 months with their child at their warm, welcoming Family Centers.



Primary Responsibilities

Direct Family Practice

- Engage caregivers and children to address parenting education, child development, and strategies to promote family growth and wellness

- Support families during quarterly scheduled sessions and through ongoing communication between visits as needed

- Assess community resource needs and support families in connecting with appropriate services and referrals



Administration of the family program and database

- Maintain family appointments to ensure strong program attendance and retention

- Maintain timely documentation in electronic family records to facilitate practice and program evaluation

- Conduct visits with fidelity to the Room to Grow program design, including assessment and data

completion and adherence to the curriculum



Alignment & professional development

- Participate in team meetings in collaboration with program team colleagues to discuss specific practice topics, share case- and practice related learnings, and develop individual professional knowledge

- Continuously seek knowledge and best practices in the early childhood, child development, and parenting fields

- Represent and embody their core values of Integrity, Respect, Growth, Collaboration, Community, and Inclusion

Required Skills & Experience

- Bilingual in Spanish

- 1+ year of clinical experience working directly with young children and families and can give tips and help to families

- Experience working with early childhood (ages 0-3)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Advanced experience in child development, social work, mental health or related field or graduate degree (e.g. MSW, MA) preferred

- State licensure preferred when applicable (e.g., LMSW, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, CEIS)

- Local to Boston
