Insight Global is seeking a talented C++ Software Engineer to join their team in Downtown Boston. This is a direct-hire role and will be hybrid two days a week in Boston. This global company is an industry leader in Risk Modeling with a mission to achieve both profitable outcomes and positive societal impact. The company partners with insurance, reinsurance, financial, and government clients to help in catastrophe modeling software and services around the world. This is a permanent position that will allow you to be part of the complete life cycle of developing a new SaaS product that will transform their industry!
You will be part of a development team, working on the company's loss analysis engine to assess and predict natural disaster risk more accurately. As a developer on the team, you will be a key part of the backend development of the SaaS product that is sold to Fortune 1000 clients worldwide. The product recently was updated to C++14 and 80% your time will be spent writing C++ code, the remaining 20% will be spent in C++ and SQL. Much of this environment is C++, but here are also applications created using C#, so familiarity with both languages is a strong plus. Any cloud experience is also a plus.

-2-5+ years of C++ Development at the application level, recent experience with C++ 11 and above
-Expertise in STL (Standard template libraries) within C++
-Experience with SQL databases and reading/writing SQL queries
