Job Description

An international law firm spanning across the US/Europe/Asia is looking for an UX/UI Designer to join their Data and Software Development team within the Knowledge Management & Innovation department. This role is fully remote but must be EST timezone. The firm is in the Top 50 largest law firms in the world; they focus on corporate, litigation, intellectual property, fund formation, public markets, employment, life sciences (#1 law firm for tech and life sciences IPOs), clean technology, real estate, financial services, retail, regulatory and energy practices. The firm received the following awards form Fortune Magazine: Best Companies to Work For, Best Workplaces for Women, Best Workplaces for Flexibility, Best Workplaces for Giving Back, and Best Workplaces for Parents.



This team is mostly all web development and a mix of backend and frontend software engineers (APIs, Angular, etc). They are looking for a creative person to come up with design ideas (example; this is what workflow should be, how it should look, break into stylesheets and give off to team). The work environment is fast-paced and there are many projects that arise so we need someone who can work in a fast-paced environment. There is one other Designer who has created the common UI that you will be working alongside but also independently. This role is a hybrid between design and coding.



- Design graphic user interface components using Figma

- Partner with product managers and engineers to define and design web/mobile UI

- Work together with the team to derive UI standard guidelines and ensure UI consistency throughout Company's products

- Define user scenarios/personas, create wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps, screen flows and product prototypes.

- Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers

- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps

- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like



To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools. We would also love to see your portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8 -10+ years as a UI/UX Designer

- Expertise in Figma (wireframes, mockups, prototypes)

- hands on development in Bootstrap/HTML/CSS to create style sheets

- Graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator

- Experience deciphering user requirements and illustrating corresponding storyboards, process flows and sitemaps

- Portfolio of design projects
