We seek a seasoned WAF/IPS SecOps Specialist with hands-on configuration and administration experience with content delivery platforms, IPS, and WAF Cloud Service. You will be working on IPS and WAF configurations, Rules, performance monitoring, capacity management, and issue escalation from an Operations point of view. The WAF/IPS SecOps Specialist interacts with various teams within Santander in English and Spanish to accomplish their tasks.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Provide first line of support for WAF/IPS SecOps Infrastructure.
* Precise analytical monitoring of WAF/IPS SecOps performance and metrics on a daily basis and detection/troubleshooting of service-related issues.
* Configure and maintain WAF/IPS SecOps level configurations.
* Support on-call teams for WAF/IPS SecOps-related operational issues and performance degradation.
* Work with Vendor Support for issue escalation, configuration, and planning for WAF/IPS SecOps-related tasks and their execution.
* Enhance WAF/IPS SecOps monitoring and performance tracking.
* Create and maintain documentation as required.
- 5+ years of experience within WAF and IPS troubleshooting
- Production systems administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Proven hands-on knowledge and experience with the operation and utilization of WAF/IPS SecOps and HTTP cache/proxy technologies.
- Strong knowledge of CDN traffic management and Edge DNS.
- Experience managing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting multiple WAF/IPS SecOps services.
- Experience with responding to WAF/IPS events and developing incident response plans.
- Experience in managing and configuring Akamai Kona and Imperva WAF.
- Experience in managing and configuring Checkpoint IPS services.
- Experience in supporting application servers.
- Knowledge of networking and application protocols, such as TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS, and Anycast.
- Operational experience running a production 24x7x365 infrastructure at scale
- Experience in managing and configuring external monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
- Basic experience with network security infrastructure.
- Experience in managing and configuring Prolexic services
- Experience specifically supporting WebSphere and Microsoft IIS.
- Experience supporting Web Application Servers (desirable).
