As a Cloud Architect, you will be leading an AWS squad that continually develops cost efficiency solutions in using native AWS services and develop auto-scaling solutions to operate at scale with zero downtime. This Squad's primary role is to review the architecture and implementation patterns and design & code automation capabilities to operate efficiently and deliver cost savings on current AWS spend. As Cloud Architect, you will be expected to possess a deep knowledge and understanding of cloud native services, and architecture to lead the business in creating a delivery plan for execution against design and code automation initiatives, and management of that implementation. Additionally, the Cloud Architect will be expected to also be a hands-on technical contributor to engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
* Conductformaltechnical evaluations and assessments of client environment, capabilities,systems, applications,and/ortechnicalcircumstances
* Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of clients cloud native architecture landscape and best-case scenario for future state optimizations and implementations
* Establish the architectural as well as the delivery roadmap for cloud implementation by providing architectural guidance to the technical team or client stakeholders.
* Technical contributor to the development of critical infrastructure components using infrastructure-as-code and various orchestration and automation tools
* engineering and development tasks for cloud automation capabilities
* Bridge communication between IT and business operations to ensure alignment throughout development of optimization solutions
* 8+ years of proven experience designing and building technology solutions with AWS Cloud
* 10+ years working in a distributed computing environment and supporting infrastructure components (Linux, Windows, VMs)
* 6+ years demonstrated experience consulting and developing modern software application technologies and microservices architectures
* 6+ years of experience or exposure to microservices architecture such as Docker and Kubernetes
* 6+ years of experience working as a infrastructure engineer within an AWS environment and supporting cloud native applications and infrastructure
* Master's or Bachelors in computer science, or software engineering domain
* Previous IT management experience
* Previous experience as an enterprise architect for a financial services organization
* Direct experience in a technology consulting role
