Job Description

A top medical device company in South Boston is looking to add 2 Senior Microbiologists to their team to support their tissue technology division.

This company is a global medical device manufacturer focused on developing products for skin regeneration, neurosurgery, reconstructive, and general surgery. As the Senior Microbiologist, you will be responsible for assessing and interpreting microbial data in order to identify trends and develop appropriate action limits for manufacturing. Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

- Writing new procedures and/or changing current testing procedures

- Writing validation protocols and reports

- Performing process validation

- Microbial identification

- Interpreting environmental monitoring & water systems (TOC, bioburden and endotoxin) test results and implementing change/new processes based on assessment

This person will not be working in a lab environment, but rather gathering data reports from the lab and providing recommendations based on their findings. Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's Degree, in Microbiology or similar scientific discipline

* Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a Microbiology-focused role within the medical device industry

* Strong experience evaluating/assessing microbial tests and developing appropriate course of action based on results

* Experience with EO (Ethylene Oxide) sterilization
