Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Paralegal to join a mid-size Boston based law firm. This paralegal with be joining the firm's 35-member Domestic Relations practice group. The paralegal is expected to have proven knowledge of the rules of domestic relations procedure and familiarity with the pleadings and court rules. The firm is looking for individuals who are highly organized and take initiative in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment. This position involves record keeping, data collection, document preparation, and daily utilization of MS Office Suite.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Prepare Rule 401 financial statements and respond to discovery requests, including Rule 410.
* Prepare complaints for divorce, modification, and contempt. Draft pretrial memos, court pleadings, discovery responses and prepare subpoenas and notices of deposition, including calendaring dates.
* Track discovery deadlines, maintain active case list, and handle electronic filing with courts.
* Assist with maintaining client relationships with frequent client contact, including experts and private investigators.
* Prepare Asset Division Charts using FL software and enter time daily into Aderant Expert.
* Review trial orders in advance of trial and work with attorneys to timely complete exhibit lists, witness lists, etc. Prepare exhibit books and other items needed for trial.
This position is hybrid, 3 days a week onsite in Boston, MA.
Required Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of paralegal legal experience, most recently in the domestic relations practice area
* Exceptional knowledge of the rules of domestic relations procedure and familiarity with the pleadings and court rules
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite - Word (including Styles), Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
* Experience preparing pretrial memos, court pleadings, discovery responses, and subpoenas
* Associate's or Bachelor's Degree
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Paralegal Certificate
* Prior experience working in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island courts
* Aderant experience
