A fast-growing biotechnology company based in Cambridge; MA is seeking a Software Engineer to join their digital organization. The role will start out as contract, but then expected to convert to an FTE in 6 months. The expectation is to come to the office in Norwood or Cambridge in a hybrid capacity.
The Software Engineer will contribute to many projects in a fast-paced Agile Environment. He/she will work closely with product owners to understand business needs and design solutions. On a day to day, he/she will develop innovative and intuitive full-stack TypeScript/JavaScript web applications as part of a team to transform business processes. The resource will be responsible for deploying and improving applications in a constantly evolving Cloud environment. Lastly, the Software Engineer will be required to monitor and analyze application performance and effectiveness.
The role is important because the team is aiming to integrate applications with various systems to drive automation and analytics. The Software Engineer must be able to communicate with application users to understand and collect their requirements and requests.

* Experience with modern full-stack web application development.
* Experience with Git.
* Experience using Github/Bitbucket Pull Requests to update a codebase as part of a large team.
* Experience creating beautiful UIs using HTML, CSS/SASS/etc., and modern JS libraries
* Experience with Angular ^10.
* Experience designing RESTful HTTP APIs
* Experience with Node.js
* Experience with Express.js.
* Experience creating relational database models and writing SQL; preferably PostgreSQL
* Experience using AWS Cloud resources; e.g. S3, SNS/SQS, ElastiCache, etc.
* Experience working in Life Sciences, pharma/biotech, or related scientific field.
