Job Description
Serves as Alternate Equipment Control Officer (ECO) for one or more IT Asset Accounts
Maintains an accurate list of organizational Primary and Alternate IT Property custodians (ITPCs), with proof of current appointment, training, and other information required by the Primary ECO
Processes the receipt, transfer and disposal of all accountable IT assets and necessary documentation to establish custodial responsibility
Maintains proficiency with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) database application and in-house Equipment Custodian Asset Management (ECAM) database application
Maintenance of data in ECAM database, creating and using custom-made queries and reports, downloading/exporting account information to Excel spreadsheets and supporting IT Property Custodians
Directs ITPCs to conduct a complete annual inventory of all Accountable IT assets, reporting findings to the Primary ECO and the inspected organization's Unit Accountable Property Officer
Monitors SharePoint site for additional guidance and support.
Initiates a Financial Liability Investigation (FLI) when equipment is determined missing, lost, or stolen. FLIs are conducted using governing directives and local operating procedures
Prepares and posts inventory certification documents and ensure the process follows governing directives and standards, to include inventory certification documents
Performs account reconciliation functions such as printing Property Custodian inventory certification reports, emailing reports to custodians and searching asset management system for missing equipment
Required Skills & Experience
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance -- Can start as a Clearable US Citizen
Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent degree plus an additional year of experience in IT/Asset management. 2 additional years of experience may substitute Associate's degree
Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10)
Current Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel
Working knowledge of SharePoint
Familiar with computer hardware and peripheral devices for identification and tracking purposes
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in a military environment and DAFMAN 17-1203 and/or DPAS is a plus
Experience with database applications -- data entry, searching, sorting, reporting is a plus
