Job Description

The Engineering & Maintenance Project Manager is responsible for overseeing facility engineering service contracts, managing maintenance operations and work order systems, leading capital projects related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure, and supporting the financial management of engineering and maintenance operations. This role serves as a key liaison between facilities of leadership, vendors, contractors, and hospital stakeholders to ensure critical infrastructure is maintained; projects are delivered successfully, and operational goals are achieved.

Responsibilities:
• Manage engineering and maintenance service contracts, vendor relationships, and contractor performance to ensure quality, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
• Lead capital projects involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure from planning and budgeting through implementation and closeout.
• Oversee maintenance operations and support the management, optimization, and implementation of work order and maintenance management systems.
• Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, facilities leadership, contractors, consultants, and vendors to support infrastructure and operational initiatives.
• Support capital planning activities by identifying facility improvement needs, prioritizing projects, and tracking expenditures.
• Ensure engineering, maintenance, and project activities comply with healthcare regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies while minimizing operational disruptions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 1+ years of healthcare project management experience supporting facilities, engineering, maintenance, construction, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing service contracts, vendor relationships, and contractor performance.
• Experience leading capital projects involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Strong financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking.
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Project tracking tools.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with CMMS, work order management systems, or maintenance software implementations.
