Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for TS/SCI CI Poly Digital Signal Processing Engineer to sit in Aberdeen, MD at minimum one day a week to support a large federal client. In this role, you'll serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for RF measurement, signal processing, and EIRP analysis efforts on a new customer program. Your day will be a mix of developing DSP algorithms, analyzing RF data, and working with engineering teams to solve complex signal propagation and measurement challenges.
On a typical day, you will:
• Lead the technical development of RF measurement and mapping capabilities for the customer.
• Design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms used to estimate transmitter EIRP and characterize RF signals.
• Process and analyze large volumes of RF measurement, IQ sample, and telemetry data to identify trends, anomalies, and system performance issues.
• Generate RF coverage maps, signal strength visualizations, and geospatial products that support operational decision-making.
• Investigate discrepancies between measured and expected RF performance, including propagation effects, interference, and equipment-related issues.
• Validate RF measurements against link budgets, propagation models, and theoretical predictions.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, software, and test engineers to integrate new capabilities and improve measurement accuracy.
• Support field testing, data collection events, system verification, and performance assessments.
• Develop tools and automated workflows in C++, Python, MATLAB, and Linux environments to improve data processing and analysis.
• Brief technical findings and recommendations to engineering teams and customer stakeholders.

$70/hr to $90/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
