Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Proposal Development Specialist to support the pre-award team at a nationally recognized pediatric healthcare and research organization by facilitating the preparation and submission of sponsored research proposals. This individual will work closely with Principal Investigators, faculty, and research administration teams to ensure proposal compliance, develop budgets, coordinate timelines, and manage pre-award activities through Notice of Award.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2-3+ years of grants, contracts, finance, AND budget-related experience in an academic or academic medical center setting
• NIH working experience and project management experience
• Ability to analyze and interpret various funding opportunity announcements (RFA,
RFP, FOA) from sponsor agencies including NIH, FDA, DoD, State and local
government agencies, and foundations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- They are typically handling 20-30 applications at once! Someone unorganized will not succeed
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating across multiple teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Hospital Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
• Certified Research Administrator (CRA) certification
• MBA, MPA, or other related graduate degree
